Welcome to the Comal County Road Department website.

We are located at 195 David Jonas Dr on Texas Highway 46, west of New Braunfels. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, closed Holidays.

Our mission is to provide a safe and cost-efficient roadway system throughout the County and its sub-divisions. Routine services include drainage maintenance, road resurfacing, vegetation control, maintenance of traffic control signage, to include street name-plates, and dead animal removal. In addition to roadway and right-of-way maintenance, the Road Department maintains boat ramps for public access.

The Scope of Road Department Operations:

1503 public roads, totaling 799.7 miles
3683 acres of public right-of-way
Over 48,000 road signs
9 public access boat ramps
