Removal of Dead Animals

A dead animal can create many hazards affecting both health and safety. Comal County has a dedicated workforce to address dead animal removal from within the county right-of-ways and roadways.

Removal of a wild animal carcass from private property is at the discretion of Comal County. The property owner must be present to sign a release form.

Liability and safety issues do not allow county personnel to remove dead animals from within, or under, a privately owned structure.

Comal County reserves the right to refuse disposal of livestock and domesticated animals "pets".
